Speaker. Strategist. Facilitator.

One of my mentors once told me that we all want to be part of something that's bigger than us, but better because of us. I've spent a lot of time thinking about that. What do we uniquely bring? How do we make the most of our strengths? How do we create meaningful impact in a rapidly changing world?

Those questions have shaped much of my career.

I've worn a few different hats along the way. I've been a solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand, a social entrepreneur, speaker, facilitator, governance member, sustainability strategist, and now a mum. While those roles may seem quite different on the surface, they've all been connected by a common thread: helping people move forward.

Today, I work at the intersection of sustainability, creativity, and leadership, helping organisations navigate change, build future-ready teams, and move forward with clarity and confidence.

Because while technology and workplaces continue to evolve, I believe the skills that matter most are becoming increasingly human: creativity, communication, curiosity, empathy, and courage.

Alongside my consulting and facilitation work, I've spent more than a decade in governance, including serving as an elected member of the Fendalton-Waimairi-Harewood Community Board and as a trustee for the Christchurch Arts Festival Trust . That experience gives me a practical understanding of leadership, strategy, and organisational change from both governance and operational perspectives, helping boards, executives, and teams move from good intentions to meaningful action.

When I'm not doing my usual mahi, you'll find my husband Luke and me taking our son Cooper on adventures, whether that's tramping, skiing, working in the veggie garden, or tackling another creative DIY project around the house.

Why Proceed With?

In 2019, I founded Bead & Proceed, a social enterprise that uses creativity to inspire action towards the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

What started as a workshop grew into something much bigger, engaging more than 30,000 people, supporting over 150 organisations, and creating positive environmental and social impact along the way.

But over time, I realised that while many people knew me as "the bead girl", my work had expanded far beyond the beads.

Clients wanted support with strategy, leadership, facilitation, sustainability, graduate programmes, governance, and navigating change. The workshops were often just the beginning.

Proceed With is the natural evolution of that journey.

If you're looking for a Bead & Proceed workshop or experience, don't worry, they're still available and continue to be one of my favourite ways to bring people together. You can learn more about Bead & Proceed here.

Proceed With is the home for the broader work I now do. It's a space that better reflects the many ways I support leaders, teams, and organisations to move forward.

After years of evolving, growing, and expanding beyond the beads, I'm excited to finally have a way to properly communicate the full breadth of what I offer and the impact I can help create.
